Xin-Feng
kennel Xin-Feng's (prefix)
We named our kennel "Xin-Feng", this is Chinese for "New Prosperity". This name comes from a
poem from the Chinese poet Yu Xin (513-581).The father from Liu Bang, the founder of the Han dynasty, came from the village Feng (Prosperity). To cure his father from his homesickness Liu Bang build a copy of Feng next to the capital Chang'an, that was called Xin-Feng (New Prosperity).
From the Dutch book: Spiegel van de klassieke Chinese poëzie (Mirror of the classic Chinese poetry), by W.L. Idema
Recently, while surfing the internet, I found a photo from Shi Xin Feng (Beginning-to-Believe Peak) in the Huang mountains. Beginning to believe... is a nice name too!
